Agenda and Minutes

Board meetings are held the second Monday of each month in the district office boardroom. For meeting information, please refer to the Board Meeting Schedule.

A board meeting occurs when a quorum is present to gather information or deliberate toward a decision on any public matter. All meetings of school boards are subject to Oregon's Public Meetings Law (ORS 192.610 - 192.990).

Oregon statutes recognize three kinds of meetings: regular, special, and emergency meetings. The board adopts its regular meeting schedule in July when its annual organizational meeting is held. For Hermiston School District, the regular meetings of the board fall on the second Monday of each month. A special meeting is any other meeting scheduled during the year, and it requires at least 24 hours' notice to the general public. An emergency meeting is special meeting that, by necessity, cannot wait for the usual 24 hour notice. For additional information, please review Board Policy BD/BDA.
