Parent Square

The Hermiston School District is excited to introduce ParentSquare as our new communication platform, which will primarily be used for sending school messages via email, text, and app notifications. An account has been automatically created for each parent using the email address and phone number you provided.

We encourage all parents to access their accounts, download the mobile app, and update their notification preferences to ensure you stay informed in the way that works best for you.

With ParentSquare, you can:

  • Receive messages from the school via email, text, or app notifications
  • Choose to receive updates as they happen or bundle them into a daily digest at 6 p.m.
  • Communicate in your preferred language
  • Comment on school postings to engage with the school community
  • Direct message teachers and school staff
  • Receive important alerts, including weather updates, lockdown notifications, and other emergency messages

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If your registration link expires, you’ll need a new one. Please contact our district office at communications@hermistonsd.org or send an email to support@parentsquare.com and ask for a new link.

  • You don’t have to take any action to receive emails, texts, or phone calls. Our student information system syncs contact information directly with ParentSquare.

    Parents who create a ParentSquare account can also interact by viewing photos, downloading attachments, leaving comments, messaging teachers, and managing communication preferences. Click here to be redirected to the guide. 

  • To add a child or school, you should contact your school(s) directly to update your contact information. You should confirm that the same email and phone number are on file for all school children.

    You should be able to see the updated information in ParentSquare the day after the school makes the change. Click here to be redirected to the guide.

  • If your information is up to date in ParentVUE, you should automatically receive content based on the language you selected.  You can customize your language settings by going to "My Account" aclicking "Change This" under language settings. Click here to be redirected to the guide.

  • Please go to ParentSquare.com and on the login page, click "Forgot Password." Put in your email or phone number, and you’ll be sent a link to reset your password. Click here to be redirected. 

  • Yes, but please note that the Hermiston School District, your school, and teachers use ParentSquare to communicate with parents and guardians for information, including emergency messages and information closely related to the school’s educational mission.

  • Please contact your student’s school if your phone number or email has changed. School staff will need to update the information on Synergy. The information will sync to ParentSquare by the next day.

  • StudentSquare has similar features to ParentSquare, but it’s adapted for student use. Hermiston students in grades 6-12 will have access to StudentSquare.

  • To start receiving alerts, please contact the school to ensure your email and phone number are correct. The information that has been updated will sync with ParentSquare by the next day, allowing you to set up alerts for that contact method.

  • You should call your child's school and ask them to add you as an enrolling parents on synergy. Afterwards it will be a 24 hr sync.
