For the 2023-2024 school year, all Hermiston School District schools will participate in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs: the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). HSD enrolled students may participate in these meal programs without having to pay for meals or submit an application.
Each enrolled student is eligible for one (1) no-cost breakfast and one (1) no-cost lunch per day. Students may purchase an additional breakfast and/or lunch, at the paid meal price adopted by the board.
As a participant in the federal program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all children in our school district eat at no charge. We will no longer be collecting Free and Reduced-Price Applications this year, instead, we must collect the Family Income Survey. This Family Income Survey provides your child’s school with a way to collect household income information. This information makes sure your child’s school receives the full amount of federal and state funding and makes sure your child receives services they are entitled to when free/reduced-price applications are not collected. Please take a moment to complete the online survey at Family Income Survey. It will be helpful to have your student(s) ID numbers on hand and an idea of your family’s income when completing the survey.

We are committed to providing nutritious meals to the students in the Hermiston School District. Menus have been nutritionally analyzed to ensure that we are serving one-third of the RDA and that calories from fats do not exceed 30%.
