Support for the school district has been strong from the community. In 2001 voters approved a $39 million building program which included the construction of a new high school, Desert View Elementary School, and renovations at Highland Hills Elementary.
The voters also approved a $69.9 million bond in 2008. The bond served to replace Armand Larive Middle School (built in 1936), West Park Elementary (built in 1950), and Sunset Elementary (built in 1957). For more information about the 2008 bond, click here.
