Student Educational Equity Development Survey
House Bill 2656 and the Student Educational Equity Development (SEED) Survey Under House Bill 2656, school districts are required to make the Student Educational Equity Development (SEED) Survey available to students. This statewide survey is designed to gather critical information about the educational experiences of Oregon students, helping the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) develop and target resources and supports where they are most needed. The SEED Survey collects data from students in grades 3 through 11, with content tailored to different grade levels. This survey also helps ODE interpret existing data from statewide testing, offering a more comprehensive view of student experiences. The SEED Survey focuses on four key areas of student perceptions: Access to learning resources Opportunity to learn Self-efficacy Sense of belonging By analyzing these insights, ODE aims to ensure equitable access to educational opportunities and resources, fostering success for all students in Oregon.
